The “function check” checks the optical path of the i::scan including:
Automatic cleaning
Optical windows
Zero reference
Internal optics
The “function check” is required for one of the following reasons:
Suspicion of malfunction, e.g. drift of readings
Routine functional check after 1 year of operation
After modifications, e.g. of the automatic cleaning system
